Job summary

Republic Services seeks an Operator – Heavy Equipment in Golden, CO to safely operate forklift, excavator, bulldozer and front-end loader at recycling centers, landfills or transfer stations. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, monitor equipment and waste streams, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Two years of heavy equipment experience and OSHA-site exposure are required. You will file Equipment Condition Reports, coordinate with Maintenance, and follow all safety

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment to ensure safety and readiness.
• Operate heavy equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader) per safety standards.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment is ready to minimize downtime.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and communicate repairs to supervisor.
• Keep the shop and equipment clean and properly stored at shift end.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
