Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at our recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations. You will transfer, spread, cover, load and compact waste or soil following safety standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, equipment maintenance, reporting, and safe operation to support efficient site performance while upholding company values and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment to ensure safety.
• Safely operate forklift, excavator, bulldozer, loader and other equipment.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
• Perform minor service on equipment and document it.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.
• Follow all required safety policies and keep shop clean after shift.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
