Job summary

You will weigh vehicles, collect fees, issue receipts, and balance the register daily. Required are a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in customer service or clerical work, 1 year cash handling, and Microsoft Office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in customer service or clerical setting.
• 1 year cash handling experience required.
• Experience in Microsoft Office.
• Successful completion of TCEQ Waste Screening Course within 6 months.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors entrance to landfill, enforces compliance with landfill standards.
• Greets the public, assists users with landfill information and directs customers.
• Weighs vehicles, collects disposal fees, issues receipts and provides change.
• Verifies daily, weekly, and monthly records.
• Performs clerical duties and prepares standard disposal/waste reports.
• Keeps scale house and office neat; maintains supplies and cleanliness.
