Job summary

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community's Community Development Department seeks an LTRO Recorder to manage realty and legal instruments for Indian trust lands, perform TAAMS updates, and support title research and ownership verification.

The role requires examining probate orders, resolving discrepancies, coordinating with tribal and federal partners, and applying CFR Titles 25 and 43 along with SRPMIC ordinances. Strong data entry and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required in Realty, Land Management/Development, Urban Planning, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 4 years researching, examining, preparing, and recording real estate transactions in land/title/records settings.
• Native American tribal realty or federal trust land administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, examine, process, and record realty and legal instruments affecting Indian trust and restricted land interests.
• Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with recording requirements.
• Perform data entry, recordation, ownership maintenance, and TAAMS processing.
• Research chains of title and verify ownership, resolving discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with SRPMIC departments, BIA, and other agencies on recordation and ownership issues.
