Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community seeks an Archaeologist to conduct cultural resource surveys, evaluate impacts to sites, and manage the tribal archaeological collection. The role requires coordinating with tribal and external agencies and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

The position is exempt, on-site, and involves driving to project sites, fieldwork in diverse terrains, and preparing technical reports and training materials for staff and developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or related field required.
• 3 years of archaeology field experience required.
• Experience with cultural resources surveys and reporting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct cultural resource surveys (Class I–III) for projects.
• Review developments for impacts on cultural resources.
• Manage archaeological collections and repository.
• Develop outreach materials and present trainings.
• Prepare and review environmental documents and contracts.
