Job summary

ERM is seeking Land Agents in Massachusetts, New York and Connecticut to support electric transmission and distribution projects. The role handles land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other documents required for construction, operation and maintenance.

This is a full-time, 12-month limited-term position with possible extension. Responsibilities include negotiating with land owners, settling damage claims, researching ownership records, and drafting rights for entry, contracts, easements,

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of ROW experience; transmission project experience preferred.
• Active real estate license preferred.
• Notary public or ability to obtain within 30 days required.
• IRWA membership a plus.
• Solid working knowledge of PCs and MS Office Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS.
• Knowledgeable in real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Ability to travel regionally.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse and complex negotiations with land owners or designees.
• Settle complex damage claims with land owners related to construction.
• Search records to determine current property ownership and interests.
• Assist in establishing fair market values for land acquisitions.
• Draft or supervise documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, leases, permits.
• Comply with corporate health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
