Job summary

LVI Associates in Downers Grove, IL seeks a Project Manager to lead land development projects from planning through delivery. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate design, schedules, budgets, and client communications to ensure on-time, on-budget results.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background, 7+ years of land development experience, and strong leadership and client-relations skills. PE license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of land development or civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Strong background in project design, coordination, and technical delivery.
• Proven experience managing project financials and project teams.
• Track record of developing client relationships and generating repeat business.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to successfully deliver projects with limited oversight.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage land development projects, including design coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring objectives and deadlines are clearly communicated.
• Develop and mentor engineering staff, helping maximize team effectiveness and professional growth.
• Prepare proposals, define project scope, and support contract negotiations.
• Monitor project progress and make decisions to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks effectively while providing guidance and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to ensure successful outcomes.
