Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Land Development Project Manager in the Richmond area to oversee land development for new communities. You will manage vendors and contractors, oversee infrastructure installation, and coordinate with city and utility stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of finished lots.

The role requires strong planning, scheduling, and communication skills, with travel as needed. A two-year degree and relevant civil construction experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college.
• Three years of related experience with civil construction, landscaping, irrigation systems, and/or training hardscape installation and maintenance.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in scheduling software.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand civil improvement plans and project specifications for delivering lots.
• Plan and oversee development and scheduling for infrastructure installation.
• Meet with jurisdictional officials during installation and inspection.
• Ensure project schedule and critical path are current; report delays.
• Track milestones to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist Project Managers with plan clarifications and revisions.
• Coordinate with subcontractor’s office and field personnel.
• Assist in bid management and contract scope development.
• Assemble documents for bid packages and budgeting.
