Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to oversee the Harrisonburg/Staunton area. You will manage vendors and contractors to develop raw land for home construction, ensure schedules, budgets, and compliance, and coordinate with city officials and engineers.

The role requires coordinating with internal teams, reviewing plans, and traveling as needed. A related associate degree and several years of civil/construction experience are preferred, with a strong emphasis on MS Office

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Three years of related civil construction/land development experience preferred.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to apply instructions furnished in writing or via company apps.

Responsibilities

• Review civil improvement plans, geotechnical evaluations, landscape plans, and project specs to deliver finished lots for home construction.
• Oversee development and scheduling for infrastructure installation and landscaping in new communities.
• Present to jurisdictional officials during installation and inspection of civil works.
• Maintain accurate project schedules and identify delays to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineers, utilities, contractors and city officials on milestones and compliance.
