Job summary

Alexander Associates is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to join its Austin team, specializing in residential, commercial, and K-12 developments across Central Texas. You will oversee design, scheduling, budgets, and coordination with architects, contractors, and public agencies.

The role requires 7+ years in land development or civil/site engineering, a Texas PE license, a BS in Civil Engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience within Land Development, Civil/Site or Site Development engineering.
• Strong background delivering residential, commercial and/or K-12 development projects.
• Previous project management experience within a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater and utility design.
• Strong understanding of site development, permitting and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Client-facing experience with developers, architects, school districts and/or municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and delivery of land development and civil/site projects across Austin and Central Texas.
• Oversee budgets, schedules and engineering deliverables from feasibility through construction documents.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, contractors and other technical disciplines.
• Work with private developers, school districts, municipalities and local agencies.
• Review calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates; manage permitting and agency coordination.
• Support proposals and development of client relationships; mentor engineering staff.

Job description

Alexander Associates are representing a fast growing engineering consultancy that’s looking to add an experienced Land Development Project Manager to their Austin team. This position will be heavily involved in the design and management of residential, commercial and K-12 development projects across Austin and Central Texas.

Salary: $125,000-$175,000 DOE + Benefits

Job Specifications:

Manage the design and delivery of land development and civil/site projects, including:

• Residential and master-planned developments
• Commercial and mixed-use developments
• K-12 schools and educational facilities
• Site layout, grading and drainage design
• Stormwater management and detention systems and/or Roadway, access and associated site infrastructure
• Oversee projects from feasibility and preliminary design through final construction documents
• Manage project budgets, schedules and engineering deliverables
• Coordinate with architects, developers, contractors and other technical disciplines
• Work directly with private developers, school districts, municipalities and local agencies
• Review engineering calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates
• Manage permitting and agency coordination throughout project delivery
• Support proposals and development of new and existing client relationships
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years’ experience within Land Development, Civil/Site or Site Development engineering
