Job summary

Alexander Associates represents an established engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Land Development Project Engineer in Pittsburgh. You will contribute to the design and delivery of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use site development projects in the region.

The role requires 3+ years in land development or civil/site engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in land development, civil/site or site development engineering.
• Strong background in civil/site design and development projects.
• Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater and utility design.
• Experience working with local permitting and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Pennsylvania PE license, EIT certification or ability to progress toward PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of land development projects across commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use developments.
• Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects and other technical disciplines.
• Assist with permitting and coordination with municipalities and local agencies.
• Support construction-phase engineering and project delivery.

Job description

Alexander Associates are representing an established engineering consultancy that’s looking to add an experienced Land Development Project Engineer to their Pittsburgh team. This position will be heavily involved in the design and delivery of commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use site development projects across the Pittsburgh region.

Salary:

$90,000-$125,000 DOE + Benefits

Job Specifications:

Support the design and delivery of land development and civil/site projects, including:

• Commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use developments
• Site layout and development plans
• Grading and drainage design
• Stormwater management and detention systems
• Water and sanitary sewer utility design
• Roadway, access and associated site infrastructure
• Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates
• Support projects from conceptual and preliminary design through final construction documents
• Coordinate with project managers, architects and other technical disciplines
• Assist with permitting and coordination with municipalities and local agencies
• Perform technical analysis and resolve engineering design issues
• Support construction-phase engineering and project delivery

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience within Land Development, Civil/Site or Site Development engineering
• Strong background in civil/site design and development projects
• Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater and utility design
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong understanding of engineering plans and construction documentation
• Experience working with local permitting and regulatory requirements preferred
• Pennsylvania PE license, EIT certification or ability to progress toward PE licensure
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline
