LJA Engineering in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Land Development. You will help conceptualize the initial design approach for major project phases or oversee engineering work on smaller scope projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Experience in civil site plans: layout, grading, drainage, paving.
• Reviews of submittals and RFIs during construction.
• Ability to build strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering work on projects.
• Develop working drawings for civil site plans (layout, grading, drainage, paving).
• Assist in facility layout and site design projects.
• Possess drainage design experience; Cascade 2001/ICP R Version 4 preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Supervise less experienced engineers or staff as assigned.
