Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or similar licensure preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong background in land development.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, and multi-project resource management.
• Experience supervising and mentoring technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth and strategic direction of the Land Development practice in the Plano, TX office.
• Develop and expand client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor to private and public sector clients.
• Drive business development efforts, including market positioning, pursuit strategy, and proposal leadership.
• Maintain ownership of project financial performance, including scope, schedule, staffing, and profitability.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to identify growth opportunities and support long-term office expansion.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and designers.
• Provide coaching and technical oversight while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive culture.
• Set clear expectations and support career development for staff at multiple experience levels.
• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight on land development projects.
• Support design efforts using Civil 3D and related modeling tools as needed.
• Ensure projects comply with state and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Maintain strong coordination between clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
