Job summary

Timmons Group seeks a Licensed Surveyor for our Plano, TX office to lead survey projects and account management. You will oversee design surveying efforts, ensure quality, and coordinate with the design team and clients to deliver accurate results.

The role requires licensure, 5–10 years of experience, and proficiency with Civil 3D, GPS/RTK, and machine control modeling. Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying/Engineering or a related scientific field.
• Licensed (L.S.) in one or more states where Timmons Group operates.
• 5–10 years of surveying experience and proven project leadership.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D software for design surveying.
• Experience creating machine control models and GPS/RTK tech.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, scheduling and budgeting.
• Experience in client development and supervising field crews.
• Familiarity with office software used in surveying and design tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned surveying projects and client accounts to ensure successful outcomes.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; marketing and cross-selling services.
• Maintain communication with Division Manager, staff, and design team.
• Oversee multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and quality control.
• Perform design surveying tasks using Civil 3D, modeling and CAD tools.
• Coordinate with field crews and supervise technical work.
• Contribute to proposal development and fee negotiations.
