Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong business development and client management.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Knowledge of project accounting and budgeting.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and modeling tools.
• Leadership and collaboration mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth and strategic direction of the Land Development practice in the Charleston, SC office.
• Develop and expand client relationships; serve as trusted advisor to public and private sector clients.
• Drive business development efforts, including market positioning, pursuit strategy, and proposal leadership.
• Maintain ownership of project financial performance, including scope, schedule, staffing, and profitability.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to identify growth opportunities and support long‑term office expansion.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of engineers and designers.
• Provide coaching and technical oversight while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive culture.
• Set clear expectations and support career development for staff at multiple experience levels.
• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight on land development projects.
• support design efforts using Civil 3D and related modeling tools as needed.
• Ensure projects comply with state and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Maintain strong coordination between clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
