Job summary

Highland Homes is seeking a Land Entitlements Specialist to join our team and support preliminary plating, due diligence, zoning and final engineering permits. The role involves creating and managing land development Budgets as the project moves through preliminary and final engineering design.

Fully on-site in Florida with responsibilities spanning coordination with engineers, consultants, and public authorities to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Civil Engineering preferred with 1-2 years in homebuilding.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to keep projects on track.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence including environmental analysis of wetlands, streams and soils.
• Examine site plans with respect to topography, floodplain, utilities and water feasibility.
• Schedule internal plan review meetings with Homebuilding and coordinate with engineers.
• Oversee engineering of subdivision and QA/QC utility, grading, and stormwater to permit.
• Coordinate with consultants to assemble rezoning/PUD packages with various experts.
• Assist in preliminary plat preparation and government approvals.
• Identify construction issues and assist project supervisors in solving problems.
• Coordinate with sitework contractors, review bids and assist with value engineering.
• Attend meetings with engineers, municipality reps, and public hearings.
• Organize trackers for permits, LOMRs, lot fit reviews and related docs.
