Job summary

Holiday Builders in Florida is seeking a Land Development Manager to lead all land development projects from due diligence to final acceptance. You will coordinate with engineering, construction, and permitting teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years in land development, and strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and contract oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5+ years directly related experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of civil, geotechnical engineering and surveying.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves development project scheduling, budgeting, cash flows and other reporting.
• Initiates, manage and execute land development and planning approval schedules.
• Oversees project visioning process, pursues alternative design standards, and process subdivision, utility, and development agreements.
• Manages team of consultants for the timely completion of development deliverables.
• Maintains appropriate records of approvals, engineering plans, permits etc. for each project.
• Reviews and analyzes contract documents prior to award and negotiates prices and terms of contract.
• Produces budgets based on engineers estimates and local knowledge.
• Provides support to VP of Land in all areas of the acquisition, entitlement, and land development phases.
• Achieves timely planning and engineering approvals for civil, landscaping, utilities, etc. to ensure that all approvals are obtained in a timely manner and according to the project schedule.
• Reviews Community engineering and landscape designs to meet schedules and achieve most timely/cost effective construction.
• Obtains development construction and environmental permits for all development projects.
• Orders, reviews, and support to all departments as related to all aspects of house plot plans and lot fit studies.
• Produces and manages land development budgets.
