Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Designer to support land development projects from concept to construction. You will work with a collaborative team to apply engineering concepts and develop practical design solutions.

The role offers an onsite work setup with opportunities to engage with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants. Growth and hands-on project exposure are emphasized for those starting their civil engineering careers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and entering final year (Winter 2026 or Spring 2027).
• EIT is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions for project challenges.
• Prepare construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents.
• Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications.
• Prepare grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
• Perform detailed calculations for storm water facilities, utilities, and roadways.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentation materials.
• Assist project engineers in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Attend project meetings.
