Job summary

Core States Group seeks a Civil Engineering Designer to contribute to land development projects from concept to construction. You will join a collaborative team and apply civil engineering concepts to develop practical solutions that meet project goals.

The role offers onsite responsibilities at multiple offices, with growth opportunities and exposure to design, permitting, and client coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Senior enrolled in Civil Engineering, graduating Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• EIT is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions to project challenges.
• Prepare construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents.
• Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications.
• Prepare grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
• Perform detailed calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and project presentation materials.
• Assist project engineers in completing projects on time and within budgets.
• Attend project meetings.
