Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern focused on land development to join our experienced project teams. During an 11-week internship, you will work on active development projects alongside professionals across disciplines and gain exposure to client meetings and project coordination.

You will assist with site development, grading, drainage, and utility design, learn through hands-on software tools, and collaborate with architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interested in land development, infrastructure, or site design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site development and land planning projects.
• Support grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design efforts.
• Participate in site layout and permitting coordination.
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering.
• Gain exposure to client meetings and project coordination processes.
• Learn how civil engineering supports commercial, industrial, and housing development projects from concept through construction.
