Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Lombard, IL is seeking a civil engineer to design residential, commercial, and industrial sites, applying AutoCAD Civil 3D for concept layouts and grading. You'll analyze utilities, stormwater, and permitting needs while coordinating with multidiscipline teams.

The role requires strong communication, ability to manage multiple tasks, and willingness to work evenings or weekends when project needs arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Must be fluent in English and able to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
• Prepares and computes due diligence/site analysis reports and earthwork estimates.
• Assists in production of final construction drawings and permit applications.
• Assists project managers and communicates with clients on project specifics.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Attends client and public meetings—days or evenings.
• Participates in business development efforts as requested.
