Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Dallas is seeking a civil engineer to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will contribute to conceptual site layouts, utility and stormwater design, grading, and permitting support using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work nights or weekends when deadlines demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
• Prepares and computes, but not limited to due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
• Assists in production of final construction drawings.
• Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
• Assists project managers as requested.
• Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Attends client and public meetings- days or evenings.
• Participates in business development efforts as requested.
