Job summary

Ashton Woods is seeking a VP of Land Acquisition to drive undeveloped land and finished lots to meet sales, profitability, and growth targets. You will work with the division leadership to align land opportunities with the strategic plan and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities include leading the land acquisition team, negotiating terms, coordinating zoning and permitting, and partnering with legal and development partners to minimize risk and maximize value.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or related field.
Master’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field preferred.
At least five years of experience in land acquisition, divestiture and development.
Realtor or Broker’s license preferred.
Experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn other programs.

Responsibilities

Identify land opportunities and align acquisitions with the division’s strategic plan.
Negotiate price and terms to meet financial requirements.
Coordinate zoning, permitting, and development processes.
Lead contract reviews with attorneys and manage major risks.
Develop market knowledge and sub-market analysis for pricing decisions.
Build broker networks and developer relationships to source deals.
