Job summary

Ashton Woods Homes in Austin, TX seeks a Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development to lead the division's undeveloped land and finished lots strategy. You will work with the management team to ensure sales, marketing, and construction requirements are met on each land deal and provide cost estimates for underwriting support.

You will oversee zoning, permitting, and budgeting, partnering with engineers and attorneys to maximize density and cost efficiency while driving profitable land

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, construction management, finance, or related field.
• Master’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field preferred.
• At least five years of experience in land acquisition, divestiture and land development construction management.
• Realtor or Broker’s license preferred.
• Experience with MS Office Products and ability to learn other computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the land acquisition and development departments and staff.
• Identify land opportunities aligned with the strategic plan and coordinate acquisition, zoning, and development.
• Negotiate price and terms of property acquisitions to meet financial requirements.
• Partner with zoning attorneys, our real estate attorney, developers and local regulatory agencies to mitigate risk.
• Identify opportunities to buy and flip land for division profit and manage lot or land sale functions.
