Job summary

Databricks Inc. seeks a Lakebase Associate Director Specialist to accelerate adoption of Lakebase, a fully-managed Postgres offering, within a defined territory in the Retail vertical.

You will lead multi-stakeholder engagements with platform, data, and development teams to drive revenue and value realization. In this high-impact role, you will run complex sales cycles, orchestrate POCs, and collaborate with Product, Marketing, CS, and Partners to shape territorial plans and co-sell motions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
• Proven success selling data platforms or operational databases to technical and business leaders.
• Strong understanding of modern data and application architectures and cloud-native services.
• Ability to sell to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience leading specialist or overlay motions with core Account Executives.
• Executive presence for C-level conversations and architectural workshops.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish strategic focus accounts and drive Lakebase activations with regional teams.
• Move opportunities from discovery to close, navigating executive and IT stakeholders.
• Articulate Lakebase value for platform, data, and development teams to accelerate adoption.
• Lead proof-of-value and POCs in collaboration with solution architects.
• Contribute to territory plans and joint sales motions with partners and ISVs.
• Share best practices and sales motions across the field to scale Lakebase proficiency.
• Align outcomes like performance, cost efficiency, and time-to-market with customers.
