Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks an experienced RN Lactation Consultant to assess lactation needs, diagnose problems, plan interventions, and support families through hospital and outpatient care. You will lead breastfeeding initiatives, provide prenatal classes, and collaborate with physicians.

You will oversee staff education, maintain records, and ensure age-appropriate care. Requires RN license and IBCLC certification within 1 year; typically 2 years L&D experience; strong communication

Competenze

• Registered Nurse license required in the practicing state.
• Lactation Consultant, International Board (IBCLC) certification must be obtained within 1 year.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Typically requires 2 years of professional nursing experience in labor and delivery.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Mansioni

• Assesses breastfeeding needs and lactation problems; plans and implements interventions and evaluates outcomes.
• Visits breastfeeding mothers in hospital and by phone post-discharge to provide lactation support.
• Provides outpatient care and consultation for families with breastfeeding difficulties and newborn follow-up.
• Develops and manages outpatient lactation services, including phone support and breast pump rentals/stores.
• Leads staff education and in-services on breastfeeding; ensures evidence-based practice.
• Provides leadership in breastfeeding initiatives for hospital staff and community; reviews educational materials.
