Job summary

Children's Wisconsin, a nationally recognized pediatric health system, seeks a Lactation Consultant to join the Lactation Service of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. You will provide expert lactation assessment, education, and support for breastfeeding families within the care team.

This role requires a BSN and Wisconsin RN license, 2+ years in maternal/child or NICU settings, and BLS certification. Schedule includes weekend shifts; you will collaborate with providers to promote infant

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a BSN; RN license required in Wisconsin.
• At least 2 years in maternal/child, pediatric or NICU settings.
• BLS Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process with families, documenting care and plans in EHR.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize infant nutrition and support breastfeeding.
• Coordinate discharge planning and lactation home needs.
• Educate staff and families on lactation best practices.
• Maintain credentialing and participate in ongoing professional development.
