Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking athletic coaches to support our sports programs. Candidates must be at least 21, hold a high school diploma or GED, and possess a current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification. A Basic Life Support certification (First Aid, CPR, AED) is also required.

One reference letter is requested unless you are a current CCPS staff member. Additional details about obtaining the coaching certificates may be found on the Collier Schools

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification.
