Collier County Public Schools is seeking enthusiastic athletic coaches for the Soccer JV program as Supplemental Positions. Candidates must meet district and state requirements and be ready to contribute to athletic development and team success.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, hold current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification, and provide a reference.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1 Reference Letter (not required for current CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

• 1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
• 2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
