Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking individuals for supplemental positions as Assistant Coach/Girls. Applicants must be 21 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or GED, with one reference letter (not required for current CCPS staff).

Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required; note that those with a teaching certificate do not need a separate coaching certificate. A Basic Life Support (First Aid, CPR, AED) certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
