Job summary

ADB Companies, LLC is seeking a Laborer II to support outside plant (OSP) installation on varied utility construction sites. The role requires hands-on labor, basic operation of equipment such as drills and bucket trucks, and a strong safety mindset in a fast-paced field environment.

The candidate should have 1+ year in utility construction, 6+ months operating equipment (drill, hydro, mini, bucket truck), and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of utility construction experience required.
• 6+ months of equipment operating experience with one of the following (Drill, Hydro, Mini, Bucket Truck) required.
• DL Class A CDL license strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Competent Person and OSHA 10 certifications strongly preferred (ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Performs general manual labor on utility construction sites in all weather conditions.
• Supports crew with jobsite setup and closeout tasks, including loading/unloading, photos, traffic setup, and equipment prep.
• Operates one or more heavy equipment types (directional drill, mini excavator, hydro truck, bucket truck) with limited guidance.
• Meets production expectations set by Foreman or management.
• Learns installations and equipment operations through on-the-job training.
• Reads prints and construction drawings.
