Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support regulated laboratory testing in Des Moines, IA. The role involves sample registration, data entry into the eLIMS system, and performing tests while ensuring quality and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and AOAC ALACC requirements.

The position emphasizes adherence to health and safety regulations, accurate record-keeping, and timely communication of results.

Qualifications

• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field
• Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• FollowQuality Manual, SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations
• Register incoming samples and maintain records
• Enter sample data into eLIMS accurately
• Complete laboratory testing on incoming samples in a timely manner
• Verify results and submit to appropriate personnel
• Identify process difficulties and report with proposed solutions
• Maintain readiness to respond to clients and colleagues
• Communicate effectively with co-workers
