Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Lafayette, CO is seeking a Laboratory Technician I. The role involves performing laboratory tests on incoming samples, entering data into eLIMS, and verifying results for timely transmission.

You will maintain a safe work environment and support overtime or weekend shifts as needed. The position requires a HS Diploma and ideally an AS/BS in Microbiology or related field, plus 0-2+ years’ experience in plating and sample prep.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• AS or BS in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field ideal.
• 0-2+ years plating, plate reading and sample preparation experience.
• Experience with aseptic technique, LIMS, and prior laboratory work is ideal.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document laboratory testing on incoming samples and ensure turnaround goals are met.
• Enter sample data into the eLIMS system accurately and timely.
• Verify results and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
• Identify process difficulties and propose solutions to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support overtime, weekend and holiday schedules as needed.
