EMSL Analytical, Inc. in South Pasadena, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Asbestos) to support analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No lab experience required; on-the-job training provided.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with training hours starting early in the day. A high school diploma is required, and candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, distinguish colors, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Some laboratory experience in academic or commercial setting is a plus
• Ability to distinguish colors to perform analysis
• Physcial ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance

Responsabilités

• Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis (Air, Bulk, Dust, Water, Soil)
• Utilize balances, HEPA filtered fume hoods, filtration systems and muffle furnaces to prep samples
• Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Job Details: Job Location: South Pasadena, CA 91030, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 Hourly, EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Asbestos) in South Pasadena, CA. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

• Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis Air Sample Prep, Bulk Sample Prep, Dust, Water, Soil
• Utilization of balances, HEPA filtered fume hoods, filtration systems and muffle furnaces to prep samples
• Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Available Shifts: Position is full time, Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Training to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
