EMSL Analytical, Inc. in Cinnaminson, NJ is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Asbestos) to assist laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No prior lab experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Some laboratory experience in academic or commercial setting is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and in a team, with self-motivation and adaptability.
• Good time management, organization, and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis (Air, Bulk, Dust, Water, Soil).
• Operate balances, HEPA fume hoods, filtration systems, and furnaces to prep samples.
• Support all sample-related activities from preservation to disposal.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Job DetailsJob Location: Cinnaminson, NJ 08077Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.50 - $21.28 HourlyEMSL is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Asbestos) in Cinnaminson, NJ. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis Air Sample Prep, Bulk Sample Prep, Dust, Water, Soil
• Utilization of balances, HEPA filtered fume hoods, filtration systems and muffle furnaces to prep samples
• Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

QualificationsRequirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus
• Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25lbs and standing for various lengths of time
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance

Available Shifts:

Position is full time, Monday to Friday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Training to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
