Laboratory Technician

Salary Range: $20-23/hr

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician will assist in the rearing of insects for research purposes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain insect colonies: feeding, cleaning cages, diet preparation, etc.
• Participate in greenhouse activities.
• Assist with laboratory experiments and support field research: data collection, weed removal, infesting trials, etc.
• Follow safety protocols in the lab and field as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with ISO Quality Management Standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Greenhouse or laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
