Responsibilities and Skills:

1. Outstanding computer troubleshooting skills for obscure issues, including device connectivity and laboratory software issues.
2. Background with End-user Computing or Desktop Support is essential. Break/Fix tasks constitute 80% of a Lab Engineer’s workload.
3. Understanding of hardware components and networking concepts such as network topology, VLANs, Static/Dynamic IPs, Subnetting, IT/OT Networks, and basic firewall knowledge. Familiarity with the OSI model and troubleshooting different network layers is required.
4. Knowledge of Active Directory.
5. Support for D2D and projects.
6. Experience with AGILE methodologies.
7. Background in computer security.
8. Previous experience with validated systems (GxP) is a plus.
9. Implement validated data backup solutions on laboratory analytical equipment, including equipment/software investigation, documentation, and technical configuration within R&D (GxP and non-GxP).
10. Support scientists in incident management, user support, coaching, and access management.
11. Testing and validation of computer software, including conducting tests in different environments and writing technical documentation.
12. Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
13. Microsoft Excel skills are a plus.
14. Deep knowledge of Microsoft OS, including iOS and Linux, is a plus.
