Qualifications

• Associate's degree in the medical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to receive and track patient samples into the LIS.
• Ability to maintain specimen integrity for all laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Receives and tracks patient samples into the laboratory information system.
• Notifies departments of problem resolutions pertaining to specimen discrepancies.
• Retrieves samples and delivers to appropriate testing department.
• Maintains inventory and logs in reagents and materials.
• Answers phone calls and escalates issues to leadership as needed.
• Performs daily quality control verification of pipettes, timers, and balances.
• Loads samples onto lab automation systems and monitors workflows.
• Monitors and reports status of equipment and system functionality.
