Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist for Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam, NY. Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Technologist.
• NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing accurately and in a timely manner.
• Interprets test results with patient history and diagnosis to guide action.
• Communicates critical lab results promptly to medical staff.
• Maintains QC, routine maintenance and instrument troubleshooting.
• Prepares reagents and manages inventory to control costs.
