Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Laboratory Technologist/Technician to monitor analyses and specimen examinations, ensuring test systems operate within performance specifications and reporting any issues to the Technical Consultant. The role includes supervising lab staff, managing payroll approvals, and providing training and orientation to new personnel.

• Supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
• CPR certification and update as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication under pressure.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and comply with policies.
• Proficient with laboratory instrumentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations; report issues to supervisor.
• Ensure remedial actions when test systems deviate from specs.
• Perform proficiency testing within required timeframes.
• Handle physician requests promptly and respectfully.
