Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily staffing, mentoring and performance management within the laboratory team. You will drive quality, efficiency and regulatory compliance while coordinating with nursing and medical staff to maintain seamless patient care.

The role emphasizes leadership, integrity and initiative, with responsibilities spanning training, performance evaluations, policy adherence, and resolving complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Leadership ability, integrity, and initiative required; ability to solve problems and manage stress.

Responsibilities

• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff; conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assesses and ensures quality of services and facilitates staff development; ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill service levels.
• Leads handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Interacts with internal staff, patients, and external clients while handling confidential information.
• Demonstrates HIPAA compliance and adherence to healthcare regulations.
• Applies policies and procedures consistently and upholds Business Office standards.
