Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Wake Forest, NC seeks a Laboratory General Supervisor to oversee high-complexity molecular testing and ensure CLIA-compliant quality. You will supervise day-to-day test performance, collect and analyze specimens, and document results accurately in the EMR.

This role supports providers and lab techs, maintains equipment, monitors inventory, and ensures regulatory compliance, with 30–40 hours weekly and 10-hour shifts across seven days.

Qualifications

• Certification or degree compliant with CLIA standards
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience including molecular or PCR-based testing

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing in accordance with protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens
• Document laboratory results in the EMR
• Perform quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance on equipment
• Ensure CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA and infection control standards are met
• Prepare specimens for internal/external testing
• Monitor inventory, reagents and expiration dates
• Identify and report testing discrepancies and equipment issues
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support operations
• Provide supervision for day-to-day test performance
