Qualifications

ASCP certification, preferred
Two years' experience in a similar laboratory, preferred
For a Bachelor's degree: >2 years' experience in a designated testing specialty in a CLIA lab
For an Associate's degree: >4 years' experience in a designated testing specialty in a CLIA lab

Responsibilities

Research, develop, and implement new or improved procedures and instrumentation; perform quality control, quality improvement, regulatory compliance tasks, maintain supply inventory, daily operations, and staff scheduling, training, and orientation.
Uphold applicable laws and regulations; maintain knowledge of lab techniques, procedures, and protocols; review procedures as required.
Maintain a safe environment; wear PPE; report spills and hazards; follow guidelines for patient information disclosure.
In Lab Testing Areas: fulfill CLIA General Supervisor role for High Complexity testing and Technical Consultant for Moderate Complexity testing.
