Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science, MLS/MT certification, and at least four years of laboratory experience, with prior supervision preferred; travel to various locations is required.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s of Science degree.
• MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA) or MT (AMT) certification for general lab supervision.
• Four years of experience at the medical laboratory technologist, cytogenetic technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist level; supervisor experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervises laboratory services and personnel for one or more clinical laboratories.
• Coordinates programs and implements processes with other departments; acts as a resource to staff and clinicians.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines; establishes and reviews policies and procedures.
• Manages personnel and HR functions including recruiting, evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions.
• May teach Clinical Laboratory Science students, residents, fellows, and new employees.
• Contributes to budget process by analyzing capital development needs and the impact of new programs.
• Provides leadership to laboratory staff to meet organizational goals.
• Travel to various locations as needed.
