Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Laboratory Site Manager to oversee the 24/hour operation of the laboratory and related services.

The role ensures regulatory compliance and serves as the liaison between the clinical laboratory, hospital units and lab outreach services. You will supervise staff, collaborate on quality management, manage budgeting and staffing, and coordinate with network lab managers to maintain high standards across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years clinical laboratory experience.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred.
• ASCP eligible.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the staff at the site, manages selection, training, orientation and performance.
• Collaborates with Quality team to design and implement a Quality Management program.
• Ensures policies meet network and accrediting agencies’ standards.
• Responsible for regulatory compliance and site inspections.
• Maintains proficiency testing and collaborates on method and instrument evaluations.
• Prepares daily work schedules and ensures adequate staffing; manages FTE productivity.
• Manages budget, cost controls, and capital needs; explains variances.
