Job summary

St. Luke's Health-Brazosport Hospital is seeking a Manager, Laboratory Services to lead daily laboratory operations and drive strategic development of clinical testing.

You will mentor staff, monitor test quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with pathologists and clinical teams to optimize workflows and integrate new technologies. The role requires strong leadership and expert technical knowledge, with a focus on continuous quality improvement and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences as defined by CLIA.
• Proper national certifications in clinical laboratory science (e.g., MLS/CLS/ASCP).
• Experience and knowledge in regulatory compliance for clinical labs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of all laboratory operations and monitor staff performance.
• Stay informed on new technologies and methodological advances in the lab.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and implement policy and procedures; monitor quality and initiate corrective actions.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, procurement, and alignment with standards.
