Job summary

Cape Cod Healthcare seeks an accomplished leader to direct the Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, and Cape Cod Lab services laboratories. The role emphasizes strategic operational planning, staffing optimization and cross-functional collaboration with leadership teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in a relevant field, 10+ years in clinical labs or 3+ years in management, and strong knowledge of CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, and DPH standards. LEAN/Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Ten years of progressive experience in clinical laboratory operations or three years in progressive management.
• Extensive knowledge of analytical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, histology, POCT, microbiology and Blood Bank.
• Deep understanding of quality assurance, regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, DPH).
• Strong project management, communication skills and ability to lead professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operations of Cape Cod Healthcare laboratory services.
• Participates in setting department objectives and evaluates performance to meet goals.
• Ensures adequate staffing models to support operations.
• Interfaces with pathologists for planning significant operational processes.
• Develops operating and capital budgets and ensures adherence to them.
• Leads process improvement and quality initiatives across labs and CLAB."
