Zusammenfassung

TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, seeks Laboratory Scientist candidates to perform waived, moderate, and high complexity tests at the UNM Cancer Center. This hourly, PRN position supports patient care with strong QA, instrument maintenance, and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, data documentation, and collaboration with clinicians. Minimum CLIA-based education options are listed, with pathways for advancement across Scientist I–IV levels.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science from an accredited institution (or related qualifications accepted through 2024).
• Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent.
• 60 semester hours with specified science/mathematics courses as applicable under CLIA requirements.

Aufgaben

• Perform waived, moderate, or high complexity laboratory testing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and run quality control procedures.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and QA/QC data collection.
• Assist training of staff and liaise with internal/external customers.
• May participate in POCT oversight and specimen collection as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of testing results and document actions taken.
