Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking an experienced Laboratory Scientist for the University Hospital site in Albuquerque. The role involves performing waived to high complexity tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring QC/QA data integrity.

You will collaborate with supervisors, pathologists, and other staff to support accurate patient diagnoses. The position requires adherence to CLIA regulations, active participation in regulatory inspections, and potential involvement in POCT oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science per CLIA requirements.
• Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory QA/QC practices and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or high complexity lab tests with supervision.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments and IT interfaces; document QC data.
• Monitor QC trends and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with training of staff and students; interact with internal/external customers.
