TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, seeks a Laboratory Scientist Lead for Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. The role requires coordinating across shifts, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality patient care through rigorous QC and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed educational pathways with relevant clinical lab experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capabilities preferred.
• Strong attention to quality control and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions of a Laboratory Scientist II with high proficiency.
• Coordinate processes across shifts and departments to ensure patient care quality.
• Supervise as shift lead and facilitate workflow; answer staff questions and resolve issues.
• Oversee quality control checks of equipment and instruments and prepare for inspections.
• Consult with pathologists/managers on technical or workflow issues and implement new policies.
